Thank you. Thank you to this amazing community for being so fun and pleasant to photograph at the Jolly Jingle Jam in Maplewood, NJ, aka the best place ever. In collaboration with the Maplewood Artist Collective (which I am now a part of!! :)), I took pictures of over 60 families in a 2-hour period – about 200+ individuals – it was crowded and a little hectic. Not one person complained, whined, or was rude in any way. Every single person was pleasant and patient. How RARE this is. I love this town and the amazing people who live here, and those who are choosing our community to move to. I would estimate about 75% of these families are relatively new to town. Thank you to our realtors for getting them here, to our schools for being as special as they are, to our shops and restaurants for being awesome, to our neighbors for being friendly and throwing kick-a$$ block parties, to our town groups for putting on exciting events…to our passionate, kind, fun, eclectic community for being the best peeps ever. Gushing over this gallery – so much love, meaning, and connection. This was a “lifestyle” newborn session – I just love these shoots. Not so many posed shots – more capturing the baby and family in their environment and showing how much they love their newest addition, and each other. It’s also really fun for me to photograph the older siblings who are excited to be the center of attention. I make sure to pay LOTS of attention to them. Congratulations to this beautiful family, who I am also lucky to call my friends :).
